This I Ching sweater is encircled by two lines of hexagrams, 64 in total, each a combination of two trigrams, each of those a combination of unbroken lines, representing yang, a fixed or unmoving principle, and broken lines representing yin, a changing or moving principle. Each of the 64 hexagrams is unique, and in total they represent every possible combination of yin and yang. Each hexagram is associated with a particular meaning, and this is how they are used as a method of divination: the I Ching!
This sweater is knit in the round. Since it is worked in stocking stitch, and the colour patterning is simple blocks, it is really very straightforward to make.
