Sumptuous & snug cashmere beret.
Textured geometric shapes are picked out in garter stitch, eyelets and converging three-in-one stitches, against a stocking stitch background. The pattern is worked around the brim, making a decorative scalloped edge, and then continues, seamlessly, in varying sizes to suit the shaping of the beret, right up to its stalk. This pattern works well with both plain and variegated wools: the textured shapes also create interesting horizontal movement in multi-coloured yarn. Requires 3mm double pointed needles.
Sized for medium adult.
One x 55g skein of Cashmere 4ply is enough to make this beret.
