Great suggestions for this chunky Malabrigo yarn, thank you.
Giselle you won this yarn. So material for one Morning Walk Headband Earwarmer will be with you soon. Can you drop me an email confirming where it should be sent to?
I do have some more Malabrigo yarn to put in a competition, and I will do that in the next couple of days.
Now, back to the weekend knitting. I finally cracked open a skein of sparkling DK yarn to make some gloves. I’d love to knit the whole lot of it into a jumper but have managed to remind myself that running a shop doesn’t work if you consume your own product.
Bye for now,
Here we have the first competition for the new Violet Green website. A lovely soft skein of Malabrigo Mecha in the very pretty “Teal Feather” colour. The skein is 100g and 120m.
What could you make with it? Leave me a comment and I will add your name to a draw for this lovely soft yarn, a draw which will take place in a few days time, to clear space for another competition to win more Malabrigo yarn!
Our competition for August is for a 45g skein of our Muse 70% merino, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon yarn, hand dyed in brown, greens, blues & a rich yellow, plus a copy of our Tornado Fingerless Mittens knitting pattern, pictured right.
A little knitting kit.
To enter the competition, please leave your first name and the first initial of your last name as a comment at the bottom of this post, and let me know why you like hand dyed yarn!
