We accept cheque, postal orders, PayPal and credit/debit card payments, which are processed by a third party processor (PayPal), so we never see your card details. If you are shopping from outside the UK, your credit card company will convert the transaction to British Pounds.
Our target is to despatch your order by the end of the next working day after the working day on which we receive it (working day = Monday to Friday from 9 to 5, excepting bank holidays), although sometimes we may be delayed by a day or two, and also sometimes we may be quicker. We do not display items in our online catalogue that we do not have available to send. International orders are sent by airmail, and are usually received within a few days, although it should be noted that they can occasionally take a few weeks to arrive.
When you place an order to purchase a product from sockyarn.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we’ve dispatched that product to you (the “Dispatch Confirmation E-mail”). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you.
You have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of purchase or within 14 days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). Should you wish to cancel your purchase within 14 days, please contact us. Providing that unwanted goods are received back to us in unused and resaleable condition within 14 days of delivery, we will refund the full payment you made for the goods (including any postage costs included in your order), minus the amount it cost us to post the item to you.
Orders placed by credit or debit card from this web site will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card. Orders placed by other means will be refunded by cheque. These refunds will be made as soon as we receive the goods in appropriate condition.
We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit – you are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to ask for proof of purchase when you post goods back to us, so that you can make a claim should the parcel go astray. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to give us your name and address when returning goods. The cost of returning goods will be borne by you.
In the unlikely event that you receive damaged/wrong goods, please notify within 14 days of receipt and goods will be redispatched on return of faulty items, or a full payment refund will be made to you, plus any postage costs incurred by you in returning the defective item to us will be refunded to you.
